Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators temporarily relax targeted muscles and can last anywhere from 3 to 4 months (or more). They can freshen your look by softening the lines on your face that are commonly caused by repeated facial expressions.

Neuromodulators are made from highly purified, naturally occurring proteins. They work by relaxing targeted muscles and gradually smoothing wrinkles as the muscle relaxes.

  • • Frown Lines (aka "11's")

    • Forehead Wrinkles

    • Bunny Lines (sides of the upper nose)

    • Crow's Feet (around the eyes)

    • Lip Flips

    • Gummy Smile

    • Marionette Lines

    • Platysmal Bands

  • We use a small needle with small injections to the targeted areas.

  • Results can be seen a few days after treatment, but the full effect takes 7 to 14 days. Muscle changes can also be noticed during this time. The effects of neuromodulators are not permanent and typically last 3 to 4 months depending on the product, area, and your body’s unique characteristics.

  • The goal of neuromodulator aftercare is to encourage optimal treatment results and minimize the risk of bruising and spreading to other areas.

    • As with any injection, slight bruising is possible. This is a common reaction and will gradually disappear.

    • Sit up for the first 4 hours. Do not bend over or lie down. Try not to sleep on the treated area.

    • Do not touch, manipulate, or apply pressure to your face for at least 4 hours following treatment.

    • Please wait 4 hours (preferably 24 hours) before applying makeup to your face.

    • Avoid alcohol for the first 24 hours as it increases the risk of bruising.

    • Avoid sun and heat exposure for at least 24 hours after treatment. Heat exposure can promote flushing and increase the chances of bruising. Types of heat exposure include sun exposure, tanning beds, hot tubs, hot showers or baths and saunas.

    • Avoid excessive or strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours after treatment.

    • It is safe to do facial exercises like frowning, smiling, and raising your eyebrows. These movements can help the neurotoxin bind to the nerve receptors faster which may make the results show up sooner. These exercises should be done in three sets of 40 repetitions, spaced 10 minutes apart for the first 4 hours following treatment.

    • Ask your doctor or nurse injector about the use of medications following treatment as some may increase the risk of bruising.

If you have any questions or concerns following your treatment, please contact us.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a medical aesthetic procedure used to effectively treat spider veins and some smaller varicose veins. Sclerotherapy involves injecting a solution directly into the vein to cause the vein to scar and reroute blood through healthier veins. The vein then becomes collapsed and is reabsorbed into the body’s surrounding tissue and eventually fades.
